Summerfest is a music festival held every year in downtown Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Known as "The World's Largest Music Festival," Henry Maier Festival Park opens its doors to approximately 800,000 people over 11 days during late June and early July! Summerfest has been a staple for the Milwaukee community since 1968 and has undoubtedly seen growth. The park, situated right next to Lake Michigan, has 75-acres with 12 different stages, including the American Family Insurance Amphitheater, which has a capacity of 23,000 people. In the 50+ years that Summerfest has called Milwaukee home, this festival has attracted a wide variety of well-known headliners (Lady Gaga, Paul McCartney, The Rolling Stones, Whitney Houston, Kenny Chesney, Dave Matthews Band, Zach Brown Band, Metallica, Aerosmith, etc.) and thousands of up-and-coming bands.
